who sponsored the tickets?

I kasi U nanti,, bila I jadi PM"..

KOTA KINABALU: Although he has no idea who sponsored the return flight ticket that flew him home to vote, Laisin Yapot, 53, is thankful for the initiative and hoped it could be continued in the future.

“All that was asked of me was my identity card (IC) number, by a friend who informed me that there are free flight tickets available for those of us working away from our voting constituencies.

“I kept wondering who sponsored the tickets, nevertheless, I am really thankful. It would be an even better idea to implement this in the coming elections,” said Laisin, a civil servant based in Kuala Lumpur since 1992, who will be going back to Kota Belud to cast his vote.

Laisin is one of the many Sabahans based outside of the state who arrived from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), met by reporters at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) yesterday afternoon.

Most of the sponsored voters did not know the source of the flight tickets, but were thankful for the opportunity to be able to come back and fulfil their responsibilities as voters.
