Calon Harapan Anwar Ibrahim Terkedu Bila Musa Aman Bersuara

Air yang tenang jangan disangka tiada buaya.. Orang tua selalu nasihatkan sarang tebuan jangan diusik..

Beaufort: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman hit out at Pakatan Perubahan Sabah (Sabah Alliance Movement) leader Datuk Lajim Ukin for resorting to "hitting below the belt" through lying during the current campaigning.

Musa said he was informed by the people here that Lajim, who is defending his Beaufort parliamentary seat and contesting the Klias state seat under the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) ticket, had allegedly told the people that "Datuk Musa Aman had already taken the town's football field and Tamu ground."

Upon inquiring from the District Officer as to who the real owner of the football field and Tamu ground were, it turned out to be the Beaufort District Council.

Officiating the final leg of the Yayasan Sabah roadshow with the people in the town football field, Thursday, Musa was puzzled why the opposition accused him of having taken the two parcels of land.

"I have my own land in the kampung area...so, why would I want to take land from the people?

"All this time, I have never resorted to being personal with his name (Lajim).

The campaigning has been in a gentlemanly manner. But suddenly, I have been turned into a villain, with my name tainted by accusations in villages in this constituency," he said.

Musa claimed he had "piles of records" pointing to a certain leader being involved in a number of questionable land deals and transactions that did not favour the people of Sabah.

Although he did not directly refer to Lajim, it is understood that most of these questionable deals occurred directly or indirectly when Lajim headed the relevant ministries.

He also asked the crowd at the road show if they knew who took more than 2,000 acres of the people's land in Kg Nukahan and some 1,430 acres in Mile 60 to be sold to companies.

"Who sold the Sabah Cattle Farm (owned by the State Government) and the thousands of acres in Telupid that belonged to the Department of Veterinary and Animal Service Industry (Dovsai)?

"In Lingkungan, who sold the land to a company where a 'towkay' got 80 per cent and Koperasi Pembangunan Desa (KPD) got only 20 per cent? This is a lop-sided deal."

Musa said the people should also check who had signed off the pristine Kota Kinabalu sea waterfront (to be reclaimed for development that was eventually stopped later).

"So, this is the person they say, is going to be the leader for Pakatan Rakyat and the hope of Pakatan?

"I never give out thousands of acres to outside companies. Instead, I give out thousands of acres to the people of Sabah in Sook, Pensiangan and Kota Marudu, via communal titles.

"So, please don't talk big of being the hope of the people. Stop telling lies," he said, noting that Lajim had been a Federal Deputy Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Assistant Minister previously, but reportedly did not do anything for the constituency.

He said that for the past 28 years, Lajim had been the elected representative for Beaufort but the current developments in the district, such as the sports complex, library and water supply were the result of hard work put in by BN's candidate for the Beaufort parliamentary seat, Datuk Azizah Dun, during her tenure as Klias assemblyman and Beaufort member of parliament.

Musa said he also had records to show that it was Azizah who had asked for the Sitompok bridge to be built in Kuala Penyu, which was recently launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Sabah BN Chairman said reception from the people during his campaign trail to the various districts in the state was overwhelming.

"It shows that the people had accepted and realised that they benefited from BN-initiated development programmes, among them the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) and many others," he added.

"There is no government in the world that is as good as the BN...that is why, wherever the BN has a programme, the people will come in droves to support it.

"Therefore, on May 5, don't forget to come early, more so in Beaufort where the weather is not so good nowadays, to cast your vote and support all BN candidates," said the Sabah Umno chief.

Musa said Lajim had been a Federal Deputy Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, assistant minister before but did not do anything for the constituency.

He said that for the past 28 years Lajim had been the elected representative for Beaufort but the developments in the district that could be seen today such as the Sports Complex, library and water supply were results of the hard work put in by BN Beaufort MP candidate Datuk Azizah Dun during her tenure as Klias assemblywoman and Beaufort MP.

He said he also had records that it was Azizah who had asked for the Sitompok Bridge to be built in Kuala Penyu that was recently launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Daily Express tried to contact Lajim for his response to the claims but without success.
